The Honeywell Orbit MS7120 is a compact countertop barcode scanner made for fast retail checkout. It projects 20 laser scan lines in an omnidirectional pattern at up to 1,120 scans per second, so items can be passed by in any direction without lining up the barcode. Scanning starts automatically when an item is presented, and the head tilts up to 30 degrees to fit your counter setup. It can also be picked up and used by hand. It connects to a computer or POS system by USB and supports the OPOS and JavaPOS standards used by most point of sale software. This is a 1D laser scanner; it reads standard linear barcodes like UPC and Code 128, but it cannot read QR codes, 2D codes or barcodes on phone screens.
